Speaking of Aldens…
I just got these: wedge sole Indys in black suede, 360 antique welt, trubalance last. Absolutely loving them, this is my third pair of Indys and I’m heading towards ‘collector’ status at this point.
Couple of observations: 1) I’m a huge fan of the TB last, 2) I’m becoming...

Great jacket, nicely broken in and fantastic thick CXL steerhide. Haven’t had it long at all, but I have another acquisition incoming and need to clear some space / funds. That said if it doesn’t sell I’ll survive. :)
No issue except as usual Aero’s choice of zipper...
I think the jacket looks great!
I may have said this recently in another thread: in my experience the 1/2” - 1” shearling is certainly warmer than the 1/4” but can be a chore to wear until it’s really broken in and tamed. Which can take a long enough time to happen that you get turned off to...
I dig it, but yeah I always feel like a goof wearing mine. I think I paid $65 for it, it’s a “Sawyer of Napa Valley” probably from the 70s. It usually makes an appearance when it’s cold enough and I’ve got an outdoor gig. It’s a country band so it definitely works... :)

I ordered 9s.
I understood these to be sized a bit large given the TB last etc. What I received is a massive pair of boots. This can’t be size 9 right? I’m having trouble making any sense of the numbers and Greek figures printed inside the upper…
If this is size 9 then maybe I need to order...
I've got two Ryders, otherwise identical except one has quilted lining and the other stock nylon lining. The quilted one feels significantly warmer to me. The former with the quilted lining gets about 90 days of wear a year, the latter probably 20 days.
I've determined that I get a lot more...
