I'm surprised no one has really brought this up, but at least among my generation (college age) the three piece suit is not enjoying a comeback, but the vest is. A lot of my friends will put on a vest and dress pants in place of a suit when they need to get dressed up. I think the thinking is...

Well I got my vest, as well as my bowtie and matching shirt. But I have another question. I recently found my grandparents' wedding picture from 1954 and initially thought "oh cool, grandpa's got white tie on" but on further examination I realized that he didn't have a vest on. In fact, it...
Their quality may not be too good, but at least they've got the right idea for some things. They've got a full morning dress look Here, and a tailcoat Here. Both of which seem to be done all right. Not perfect, and like I said I have no idea about quality since I haven't seen these in person...
Thanks for the responses everyone. I asked at the brooks brothers outlet, and they said they couldn't get them, but that may be because they're an outlet. I think I'm going to go through ebay, that seems to be the best route from what I can see.
sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything, I recently bought a vintage tailcoat, but I'm having a really hard time finding the proper vest and tie in stores. Any idea where I can get the pique vest and bowtie? Brooks brothers used to have them, but they stopped, so I'm at...
Here in michigan, infamous for our crazy and unpredictable weather, I have to say to go with the weather because in this crazy climate it may be cold after the designated warm-weather switch day, or vice-versa. Sometimes it will be 30 in the morning and 70 in the afternoon in the early spring or...
I go to college in Detroit and it truly is a sad city to live in. So much history treated so poorly. The city (at least the downtown area anyways) has been making a comeback in recent years. We can only hope it will spread to other parts of the city.
Oh great, now we not only have to worry about our shoes and belts matching, now we have to worry about our cufflinks matching them too! lol Just kidding. Very cool cufflinks Lucky.
Not today, but a couple of outfits from last week. Criticism appreciated:)
The same suit as here but with a blue and white striped shirt with contrast collar, tan vest, and the bowtie from here My first time wearing a bowtie out on the town!
Here's another one, a good cut, but not...
When I first started wearing hats I was told that a hat should be "loose enough to not give you a headache if you wear it for a while, but tight enough that it's not going to blow off too easily." Also, the red mark on the forehead might be caused by an off-shaped head. (sorry) I have a long...
Scratch that last post, I got it, I tied my first bowtie! Here's a pic, please excuse the ill-fitting shirt, poor picture quality, and mussed-up bow, this was just practice so I could learn to tie one!
Maybe it's just because I live in the bitter north, but there tends to be coat racks at a lot of restaurants I go to, that I could hang my hat on. usually privately owned ones tend to be better about it than chain restaurants. Going to the movies does present a problem though, I go to a local...
