Okay, this is the second hat I bought for my gentleman, that is too large for him. This is actually my favorite - an Adam Executive, with Stratoliner style. It's a truly awesome fedora, and we're both pretty bummed about it not working out.
It is marked "Executive, Adam, First Name in Hats"...
Okay, I can't get the pics to post! Please see them in my Photobucket album: http://s151.beta.photobucket.com/user/pdxvintagette/library/Open%20Roadhttp://
So, I got really excited at a recent sale, and bought two beautiful hats for my beau. I was wrong about his hat size.
Oh no!! This is a 7 1/2 Long Oval.
Lovely light tan color, with original ribbon and bound brim. Marked "The Open Road, XXX, Stetson" and "John B Stetson Co. 3X Beaver"...
I'm the girlfriend in question to above ^ and I *do* wear vintage everyday. And, Miss Moonlight, I sent you a Private Message. I've often felt the same way. We have so many vintage shops - who the heck is buying this stuff??
It's a funny thing - part of what the Fedora Lounge did for me was get...
Weird request, huh?
I'm going to Burning Man and plan to stay true to my vintage style while I'm there. I would like to acquire some well-worn (even beat up) but wearable ReMix wedges in size 9.5 and 10. Maybe you've got some banging around that you're kind of embarassed by but haven't tossed...
Just you wait for his adult suits - they're all about 46L! (Maybe even extra long?) At least his proportions weren't quite as portly as an adult!
Flute, I'm still working on measurements - things keep getting in the way. Feel free to send inquiries about anything you've seen that you like. :)
Aww, thank you! I love that I can use my living room for my business sets. =) I would imagine you'd like even better when I have cute vintagey girls modeling cute vintage clothes.
Yes, I know, every gent I know wants a magic machine to make this wonderful suit their size! But I know there's a at least few folks on here with dapper children, so this killer suit my boyfriend has found may very well get a new home with a Lounger. (Also, please give Anon props for his great...
I but rarely post my items here on the Lounge. But I do hear men's complaints that there's just not enough menswear on Etsy and I'm doing my best to fix that! The model is, as you know, the Lounge's own Anón. I've added 44 new men's items to the shop, but I'm wanted to share some highlights with...
I really almost never post items from my store here, but I am giving a number of great items in my shop "the axe" - I put them at 50% off, and in two weeks - they're gone. (I'm running out of space for incoming items.) I thought I'd post just a few -cheap!- highlights here as I'd love for some...
Vintage shoes are one of my most stressful items. I am incredibly careful (and incredibly good) at measuring them, but I always worry about potentional buyers. And so, often times shoes don't get listed very quickly, because I know that they may potentially be troublesome. That said, out of the...
That wasn't Oxy used on those shirts, it was Biz - they work the same way, but Biz is superior, and can be used on products with metals, where as Oxy can cause rust/oxidation and staining issues when used where any metal is present. I have had better luck with Biz - in fact, it has cleaned...
Picked these up specifically for you gents on the Lounge (not allowed to sell items which are not vintage on Etsy.)
Navy and white wingtip loafers. Rather smart, kinda different. $75 + shipping. Will happily ship Internationally, but Priority Mail shipping is required.
Allen Edmonds...
Rats, yes, everything is still available - just click the highlighted link above the photo to see the listing! (I sell on Etsy, and the link will take you directly to that item, you don't have to search the whole men's dept for it.)
Jeff, I've just gotten the tailcoat listed. Here it is for...
I spent the entire day working on my men's department, and there's some specific pieces that I would really like to see go to Loungers. You'll probably recognize Anon modeling.
Pre-War Parisian! It's a 30's single-breasted tuxedo that came from a tailor on the Champs Elysees. In fabulous...
A lesser known Etsy seller (so far) but the one I buy from is Jitterbuggin'.
http://jitterbuggin.etsy.com
She's local, I've known her for years and she has amazing quality. I own the Vista slacks in every color/material she's made them in and I'm aiming for overalls with the...
