To each his own, indeed. I even wear an ivy cap once every now and then. But it's when my real hat doesn't fit in the other persons car.

Great pencil roll. At least you get some good BBQ in Lockhart.
I've got one Texas Hatters hat. I only wear fur felt, but I wear them everyday. I'm in the hill country and punch cattle. Well, I did until I got old and my meniscus in my leg messed up.
My Grampa used to say straw hats were for...
Howdy howdy.
I just wanted to comment on the fact that it seems most brands pre - crease their hats now. Time was they all were open crown except for straws and cheaper hats.
I just ordered the only stetson I can find in a size 8. Of course it's a cattleman crease. I'm going to make a trip one...
I wear a size 8. So I learned this the wrong way... once... I left a stretched 7 7/8 in the truck for about an hour or so in summer... Texas 105° so about 120+ in the truck. Dang thing shrunk.

I wear a Stetson. I'm a Texan. Felt all year long. Straw is for farmers.
When my dad's health was failing we had him in a nursing home on doctor's orders. One evening we were taking him out to eat and pulled up smoke was billowing out of every door. Fire trucks ever where sheriff cars all over...
Those look like the Red Wing Iron Ranger... still made, but not in black I don't think. You could dye them and polish 'em up...
Nice looking boot.
