I kinda like having gold on my neck, although not too gaudy or massive like some "drug kingpin" look. About 4 to 5mm width would do it for me.
So I got me an 18K curb link chain at 20" length (5.2mm width; 17.8 grams). Nothin' to boast about (just one of my favorite accessory besides wearing a...
Hi Ashley,
You might want to check out the Garrard Type A turntable for electrically recorded 78's. That is my dedicated player for it, for which I use the stacker for most of the time. I enjoy stacking them 6 at a time (max) as I sit back and relax. It has four speeds (16, 33, 45, 78 rpm)...
Let's hear a sample, Blast From The Past on Garrard Laboratory Series Type A Turntable featuring Harry Babbitt with Kay Kyser & His Orchestra, "The First Time I Kissed You" (ca.1947).

... but what vintage stuff do you have that are still fully operational?
Here's mine that are over 50 yrs. old and still fully functional:
(1) '57 Crosley Shelvador

(3) '59 Garrard Laboratory Series Type A
Store them in those black plastic tubs you get at Walmart. That's where I store mine, and they store upright too. You could fit around 150 of them in one tub.
Contemporary Christian artists is what she listens to. Not that I am not a Christian, because I am too. But when listening to Christian music, I'd prefer listening to hymns than some hip hop Christian version.
Yeah, I can't stand her choice of contemporary music either, so does that make us even?
But the fact of the matter is, we still both love each other. We're just two different people.
It would just be nice if both shared the same interests, but that's just in a dream world.
Music is the most evocative of all the arts and resides so warmly in the mind because it needs no basis of reality. It creates its own atmosphere that brings you into its world.
For me, it is my 78's that brings me into this world of the golden era. Even though it may be before my time, I...
So what did you get from the Three Kings today? HUH?? you ask.
I got two boxes of Walker's Shortbread cookies and two Resee's King Size bars. My wife and kids got their shares too (in their stockings).
Yes, I grew up with that tradition when they come around the first week of January as...
I play most of my music with a record player. To me, it's a kinetic work of art just like a mechanical watch. I like watching it while it plays my music. And surprisingly, this Garrard Lab 80 sounds just as good as any CD player (if not better!). It made it's debut on November 1964 making it...
Being at the center of my ET, I can't say that I'm tired of it ...
But again I'm not addicted to it. I just watch mainly documentaries like in the Discovery & History Channels. Talk about documentary, there's a new interesting show coming up on Discovery Health starting on Jan. 4 ...
I too just got an IMac myself (actually for the kids) and I'm just getting acquainted with it.
How do you copy and paste on this "magic mouse" since there are no separate buttons on it? And how do you open another window while minimizing another?
Forgive me of my ignorance, Foofoo...
