    Brylcreem

Brylcreem+Vitalis=GREAT results! I can vouch for this, as well; Vitalis combined with other hairdressings, particularly Brylcreem or Groom&Clean is excellent. It adds a little "oomph" to my grooming regimen. :D

    Brylcreem

Alternatives Since Brylcreem's scent is unappealing to you (scent is VERY personal), there are many alternatives. Groom&CLean has sort of a floral/spicy scent, and has the added advantage of being humectant, or water soluble, so it will rinse out easily. If less scent is preferred, try...

    Pomade

Vasoline Hair Tonic is simply mineral oil with a little fragrance. Try your local beauty supply; there are usually many different kinds and combinations of oils you can try out. Some of them are great for shine, depending on our hair type. How's it going with the Groom&Clean, Brylcreem Boy...

10 Most Stylish Men In America

It's not what you've got... but how you use it! I take little stock in someone who puts such an emphasis on possessions, particularly when they don't bother to properly dress or groom for an interview.

    Pomade

Great idea! Is there enough interest to start a section devoted to hairstyles for guys? I would certainly hope so, as it's such a part of the complete retro look. Let's hear from some of the other guys!

    Sagging Pants and the Law

Clearly, some of our lawmakers are misguided. There are certainly more important matters at hand, yet some worry about matters as foolish as this. Maybe they should opt to issue fashion citations.lol

    I hate summer.

No relief in sight... It's a tradeoff, I suppose. Scotrace, I can relate; I grew up in South Louisiana, have lived in New Orleans for almost twenty years, and have NEVER adjusted to summers here. We may have a break in a couple of months, if luck is on our side. Thank goodness for cotton and...

    Old-style hair...stuff...

Experimentation is the key These guys are giving you really good advice; don't be afraid to experiment, and, most of all, don't be afraid to use more than one product simultaneously. Only you can find the right combination for your hair type, cut and the look you're after. My hair is really...

    They've gone too far.

I'm on the same page as Kitty I swear by doing the oil treatment before the shaving cream. My skin is somewhat sensitive, and on the off days it makes a world of difference. My shave is closer, smoother and the oil protects my skin from most burns.

I've used lavender EVERYTHING, body and home, for the past fifteen years, and I'm still anatomically correct! :D

Safe cleaning and storage of vintage suits

Tried and true... To repel moths, silverfish, et al, I highly recommend using cedar blocks and/or lavender(dried, in some sort of mesh bag). It's non-toxic, and does a great job of keeping the pests away; refresh seasonally.
