    Great points, Doc. I also think this one is a keeper for sure and I’ll stick with the sleeve length on this particular jacket. This forum has done absolutely nothing but fuel my desire for the next “step up” in quality, fit and finish of a G1. :)

    Thanks Tropicalbob! The little extra sleeve length does help when I’ve got a light sweater underneath. In realty I’d probably need a size 38 sleeve with a 40 body.

    Thanks Robinray. I gave the jacket sleeves some HWT treatment today and I can actually smell leather now, not chemicals! Perhaps that’s the trick to getting some of that finish off.

    Thanks for the info HD...that's why I'm nervous about what product and how much to use. I'm considering doing a very small test patch somewhere on the jacket that isn't highly visible just to see how it turns out.

    I thought so as well. I knew that oversees manufactured items needed to have an origin label but I wasn't sure when that was put in place. I emailed Gail at Schott and she responded that they did make jackets for Harley Davidson but she couldn't confirm if Schott had made the AMF Harley Davidson...
