Good to hang on to the originals, hard to find. They can always be repaired. I have a Star G-1, it's been a 'lucky' Jacket in my collection...still trying to find a good zipper for it. someone used a HEAVY gauge YKK and it kind of scuffed up the hide because it was sewn in too tight. Used to...
Nice Jacket!
I had This cooper A-2, and had the same problem riding a bike with it.
Try an MA-1 Jacket, or the N2-B if you want a flight jacket for bike riding.
A-2's are pretty good for driving though.
Might better go with a size 'Large' to be safe unless I hear different. The medium looks like it could prove to be on the smaller side for me according to their size chart against my measurements. Hard to say.
I'll wait and see what I hear back from 5* to be sure I'm on the right track with my...
Thanks for the reply!
It's a good thought. I've sent them my actual chest and shoulder measurement.
Does 5* charge an extra for every customized measurement?
...I'm alright with ordering a standard stock size in this case. I don't want to alter the originality of the pattern if it's a...
Been waiting for a reply from Five star leather about the sizing on the Werber Sportswear D-1 Jacket.

My actual chest measure is 42"...
Does anyone here have experience with the sizing on the Five star 'Werber sportswear' D-1 Jacket?
A few people so far said the Medium size fits more like a Large?
Let's see some 'before' photos!
I give stuff that's 'caked' in mud a good brush with like a shoe shine brush (That has not been used with any shoe polish or anything) and then give it a brush with some leather oil stuff and that does it pretty good...I'll generally avoid deep cleaning or...
I wanted to mention I build my own guitar effects pedals from kits or starting with a PCB, but not gone as far as etching my own PCB's yet. I have made myself a small assortment of homemade effects pedals which work well, however, I'm not for 'aging' my guitar parts to match vintage...
If you want to 'age' zippers...Some vintage guitar players have 'relic' techniques for chrome or nickel plated parts..something that you might be able to look into, which may or may not work, I don't know..., but something new is only new once even if it's NOS condition... just be patient and...
My granny would have told you to wear a scarf with your Jacket, so you don't get a ring on the collar!! You'll wreck your collar that way if you don't, Just sayin'...
