You guys know what this is. 7 1/2 long oval very , very nice. Light grey with a tinge of blue, grey crown ribbon and silver brim binding. Here at the request of another Lounger. Offered here for a limited time at $700
Offered a bunch of 7 1/2's recently. Rare and excellent quality (literally "Excellent Quality"). Put them in the classifieds here first. Not a single taker. So off to ebay they went. I would have rather sold them here.
What I did get was pm's with lowball offers on them and other hats of mine...
Looking great as always, everyone!
Dobbs Twenty
I think this is my only Twenty without a wind trolley (I know sometimes they are removed but there is no evidence inside of there ever having been one)
Sorry for not being clear. RM on the left and CD or right, both a dark brown. The RM does have a taller and slightly tapered crown. Real fight to get that factory crease out of it.
The felt is not so great on either as I said.
Are they a different color? Slightly. The felt is equally stiff and responds poorly to reshaping on both. Don't recommend either. Bluegrass green and taupe fawn were the best felt quality. Could just be batch differences, the guy applying the stiffener had a bad day or something and I got lucky...
DOGMAN, that hat is glorious! Can't believe this hasn't been snapped up! What a price!
I didn't have any luck selling here recently either. They all went to ebay
Everyone is looking great as always.
Glad to see MM back (I've been gone so much myself I didn't know he was gone, Yikes!). Dig the 'stache Wess and I'm with you today sporting a Stetson Sovereign.
It's a meteoric pummeling of great hats today! Well done everyone!
Michael's Open Road, Alan's Disney, 40's Stetson.....the hits just keep coming
pretty boring my way; Been sporting a 40's Playboy for the last couple of days rain or shine (mostly rain)
the color on this one never seems to...
I think it's safe to say an old Playboy puts a smile on everyone's face!
A beauty in rare green, Moon! I wonder what Gorasgu translates to if anything?
Weird, I click on it and it goes right there. I was careful to sign out first before copying the link so as not to get you guys hung up in my personal ebay stuff
What a great hat and stunning rich color, Daniele! And what a great journey from Italy to the USA and back again! I don't think many of my vintage Borsalino's are coming back any time soon
