Hi, thank you Ian. You are right - when I look very closely, I can see some abrasions on the Time Worn. Nothing too spectacular though, especially considering it's 50 GBP more for those abrasions ;-) Anyway, even the stock one from YMC looks a lot darker than the stock one on the ELC website...- Harris

Ian, thank you for the info. On the pictures, it does already look a little aged, or is that simply the character of the leather? I fail to see much difference between it and the time worn, apart from the time worn one being of darker color. I want to avoid buying a leather jacket that has this...- Harris

Hi again, I just got word from YMC that they're in fact sold out of the Time Worn "Washed" Capeskin A-1 - they forgot to update their online inventory :eusa_doh: They do have another ELC A-1 in my size though which I am now thinking about buying. Quick update, I pulled the trigger on the YMC jacket - once I receive it I will report back. Size wise, I have heard from several sources that size 40 is extremely narrow in the shoulders as reported by Sir Jacket, so I went with 42.- Harris

I notice on all fit pics of the A-1 jacket that the shoulders seams always seem to "hang" a little as opposed to sit right on top of the arm as you would fit a blazer-type jacket. Alan, thank you. Those measurements look like they'd be perfect for me. Are these measurements taken after stretching it out through a lot of wear? What size do you usually wear in other jackets? The measurements I got from YMC are a bit questionable - they stated shoulder to shoulder as 33cm...- Harris

Hmm I can't make up my mind. I just took my chest measurement again and it's 40 inches. When I put my data into Eastman's size calculator, I get size 40 as a result. Given that I want the jacket to fit on the trim side rather than big, I will probably not be happy with a size 42. Maybe I will...- Harris

I just got back the measurements from YMC, and unfortunately the Small size is sold out (although their online shop shows "in stock"). Yes - that's the fit I'm trying to achieve. You are right, the jacket is not exceptionally short. I just did some measuring, and at 24.25 length (Oi Polloi's 40), the woolen cuff would cover my belt and end up above the pockets of my jeans (mid rise).
