Sorry for the delay everyone.
We eventually got our Promo video edited and are quite pleased with how it turned out. Please feel free to check it out and leave us some feedback on youtube. It should give you a good overview of the expedition and some of the trials involved...
Made it out alive! Was an amazing trip and following in some big footsteps as well as forging some new trails of our own through unexplored jungle. Some interesting finds but can't talk about that yet in public as it may compromise our documentary. Anyway will try to get some photos up soon...
Thanks Paddy - will look into that when we return.
Here is a video to let you know how we are doing:

That it is the journey not the destination will absolutely be our mantra - but no harm looking for El Dorado whilst we are enjoying ourselves getting there ;)
Thanks again for all the encouragement. I do intend to keep a field journal whilst out there and have been thinking that if it proves interesting I might try and turn it into a book of some kind.
Thanks for the advice on Malaria tablets. We are recommended which one to take based on the regions we go to - we will start taking them a week prior to travel so hopefully that will tell us if we have any allergies.
Not sure we can go all vintage in the gear though that would be great - there a few modern conveniences that I will glady take (anything for battling mosquitoes for a start!)

In August me and a group of friends are heading out to the Amazon in Peru on a self funded expedition to locate Paititi, the lost Inca city! We will also be making a documentary to chronicle the expedition.
We are all really excited about following in the footsteps of the likes of...
Does anyone have or know where I can find some reference pictures of the coat from different angles? I am thinking about getting one custom made out here in China, but if I do that I really need as many photos as possible to show them exactly what I want.
Any help would be greatly...
As a side note on this, I currently live in China and notice that lots and lots of men wear suit jackets (not sport coats but suit jackets) as an alternative to a coat. They just wear them with sweaters under them in the winter and just a vest under them in the summer.
I wouldn't say China...
I am not majorly big into computer games but recently started playing Bioshock - what a fantastic game. Not only is it oozing with art deco grandeur of what could have been, with nice 40s music and characters but also it actually gives you ethical decisions to make to influnece the outcomes. Not...
Really good tips.
Jovan - thats great advice but there is no way I can communicate such terms in my limited Chinese. I am just happy to have recently learnt the word for suit.
Ray - really good tips from someone who obviously understands Asia. I will definetely try that - now if I just...
I am a complete beginner to suits really - I have one store bought one that has served me well but to be honest I dont know much about them.
I am currently in China and have the option to get suits custom made very cheaply - I think I know the kind of style I want and can bring pictures for...
