    Hat Bashing/Creasing Variety

There's the oft told story (usually by me) of Clark Gable in "It Happened One Night" taking off his shirt to reveal he wore no undershirt. Reportedly sales of undershirts dropped. Many a young man or woman has turned to the cinema to find a style or a image they think they'd like. Sometimes it...

Fedora for my face shape (pics)

Ribbon As said it looks a bit big for you. There have been topics on here that discuss shrinking a hat. Just be careful. I'd also prefer a contrasting ribbon on it. Too much of one color leaves it looking undefined. Marty

    Hats banned from Yorkshire pubs

Stereotyping? So Woodfluter, as a New Jersey resident, I'm curious as to where in my state you developed this image of us? Or was it from watching The Sopranos. Mind you I live in the southern portion so perhaps I'm not aware of this "banter" you write of. I've seen a few barfights. And they...

Quick way to steam a hat...

Did this once... With a Stetson straw hat. I think it was a rice straw. My kids had gotten to it and it was crushed. I soaked it in the sink to soften it. Then after shaping it I was thinking about how long it would take to try when I spied our microwave on the counter. So I popped it in and...

    The New Federation is Landing...

I rise to the challenge... Here are some more pics from earlier in time.Though it looks like small brimmed hats were the fashion 1934-1936, wide-brimmed trilbies were in fashion 1928-1934. Then in 1936-1939 the book shows trilby with a medium width brim. Then back to wide brimmed trilbies...
