I havent recieved them yet. Will let you know.
I dont get why MLF don't expand their size range. It would only mean extra earnings for them as there is a market for vintagey shoes for big-footed women.
Where do you usually get your vintage-repro clothes?
Hey! Not sure. I was gonna say Spartoo.... I bought mine from the danish part of that site. I looked at spartoo.de and they don't have Hush puppies. Weird, because afaik all their shoes are sent from the same warehouse in France. I can only advise you to google the name of she shoes.. sorry.
I...
I just ordered these from Hush Puppies. (Model: Lonna Shootie).
I think they have a wonderful 30s vibe, without being kitsch.
Does anyone know how Hush Puppies sizing tends to run? Small, TTS, Large? And do they tend to run narrow or wide?
So excited for them to arrive:
This couch :D
And at a total bargain - Roughly $110. I told the seller i didnt even wanna bother haggling with her when the price was that reasonable.
It is in AMAZING condition. Firm cushions, only 1-2 minor scuffs on the cushions.
The upholstry is fastened with beautiful brass nails. LOVE...
Thank you. The tapestry looked kind of smooth in the back.. does that mean its new? I mean shouldn't an early 1900s tapestry be all knotty in the back?
The tapestry could have been made later than the table of course.
The only thing that sucks is I have to pay for some movers to bring it..
Thank you everyone!!!
Turns out the tabletop wasnt painted - it was just a tapestry that came with it.. underneath was a darker lightly scrathed wood.
I managed to get the price down from $315 to $228 - thats pretty good no? :D
Still need to spend $$ on having it delivered by some movers...
Yeah this piece def needs a glass top added on it... I am very excited to see the drawings closely... if there are pretty dresses on it it will make me want it more... ;)
Oh--- here I was hoping it was from the early 1800s.
But I am finde with it being Edwardian as well - that matches my apartment that was built in 1910 or 1915.
Is it worth the money then? And does the mirror really look that mismatched?
I will look for dovetails etc. But if the wood is all...
THANK YOU so much. So dovetailes = antique.
How should it look under it? And yeah, hard to see if there are any imperfections in the mirror with the pics the seller provided.
Btw seller has written that the drawers are placed within a "frame".. if that makes any sense.
Do you have any good...
OH LORD, I'd love it if it was... someone told me though that they thought the mirror looks like a never addition.
Also wonderinf if its too simplistic for late 1700... So hard to decide.
I do however think thr drawings makes it look pre-1900s... and from what I could see, the drawing looked...
Hey everybody.
I am very close to buying this vanity table, but can't seem to place it date/era wise.
It's marked at $315... but vanities are in now and I live in the capital so prices are up there.
The decoration on the tbale looks interesting and kind of "from the far orient"/colonial...
Hi everyone.
Who can help me date the kitchen in my new apartment?
The apartment itself is from 1900 +/- 5 or so years.
Judging by the cabinets, the tile and the linoleum floor... when do you think the different things are from? Is anything original from the beginning.. is something 50s? Like...
Not sure if this is the appropriate thread for this - But can anyone help me date the kitchen in my new apartment? - Judging by the cabinets, tiles, floor etc. :o
Do we by any chance have a kitchen thread? I need to spruce it u¨p as the countertops are very very very worn.
The apartment is...
