I've used Rakuten often, mostly Rodeo Bros, and they've always been faultless. Very quick to respond and ship, well packaged, no complaints at all. Typically the Japanese denim brands I buy through Rakuten are about half the price of buying through the Western retailers.
Looks good mate, body fits well, length is subjective but it doesn't look 'too' short to me. It will loosen up with wear, get it wet and just don't baby it and it will get better and better.
I've got hangers like yours Benj, but Ive split some pipe insulation and have it over the wood so the jacket is on a really thick padded foam. It's more for my heavier Aero jackets but I do it for all my leathers now.

Great looking jacket mate, congrats on the purchase. It is pretty amazing leather isn't it, light enough to wear comfortably but still feels substantial. I love the 'smooth' teacore Shinki; before I got mine I didn't know quite what to expect but there is great grain and texture there right...
Is that the stuff that was stored at Aero, or are all the patterns in the background part of the haul? I thought they had been returned prior to the raid.
Nice Cascade pawineguy, I like the subtlety of the patch pads. Your design looks exactly like Ralph Lauren's Langlitz, but from his patina I expect his is cowhide.
I've got a straight zip padded Cascade, in medium weight black cowhide and brown contrast stitching, I'll try and get a...
Big J, no matter how keenly you seem to care about this, surely you can't be happy that a family is being left without a breadwinner, and a child without a father for almost 2 years? It's a very sad situation for all involved.
Do the crime, do the time, and all that, but there's no pleasure to...
I just checked my Vanson PLU-3, it has a very slight difference when you look for it, and I'd never previously noticed... I guess it comes down to how noticeable it is to you, the photos can make things look better or worse depending on the angle.
I noticed that, but probably only because I was looking for a 'flaw'. It's subtle, but if mine arrives like that it'll probably be going back. Once I know it's there it'd bug me. There should be a stencil to get them placed symmetrically I would have thought? It looks amazing otherwise, but as...
How good is watching the tracking get closer :) The inside pocket was exactly what I was contemplating, but I also elected to not to mess with the classic design.
I'm looking forward to your jacket arriving and seeing some pics ProteinNerd, I ordered a black Shinki J100 from Dave last week.
Did you request any deviations from the standard jacket?
IH was definitely sold storse, presumably unknowingly. The whole nature of Iron Heart is that it's heavy, over engineered, solid clothing / footwear / accessories etc, so the super heavy 'horsehide' fits that aesthetic. I bought one, which was subsequently examined by Aero and replaced with...
I know everyone is excited and caught up in this kangaroo court, but the tarring of Iron Heart, and Giles in particular, is grossly unfair. We know Iron Heart collaborated with Aero, and Giles and Will obviously built a working relationship during that collaboration and maybe, heaven forbid...
Thanks Sloan, as a keen Aero and Iron Heart customer, I'm quite curious to find out the whole story when it comes out, especially as I had a storse in the race.
My FQHH Cafe Racer has the Aero branded zip, it has been going strong for a few years and I've not heard of problems with them.
The Iron Heart / Aero collab zip looked like this, not the big 'A':
Hi IXL, my PLU-3 is a 44, and the Chopper is a Large. The torso and arms are a little roomier in the Chopper, but cinching the waist straps to their tightest setting makes for an overall excellent fit. I can wear the Chopper comfortably over a hoodie or a t-shirt, whereas the PLU-3 is wearable...
