Japanese Flight Jackets
A IJA tropical jacket, unlined silk and cotten blend, button front, button vents on the sides. Next time I will have the pictures a smaller size. I hope these pics help in what they look like. The Great Beer Thread
I am enjoying a Dale's Pale Ale right now. I also like a local brew called Pecker Wrecker, and it does just that. Also the make a whiskey warmer, beer aged in a used whiskey barrel and that stuff is to die for, both of those by Rahr and Sons.- Fairlane

Pipe Smokers Unite!
I agree with fortworthgal, it does seem to be more dignified than cigarettes. I smoked cigs for almost 30 years, quit one day, then two years later I picked my pipes back up. That's all I smoke now, sometimes a cigar, but not too often. I do enjoy the rituals of pipe smoking.- Fairlane

US Wings: Need an Honest Opinion
I have an A-2 that I have worn every year for about 15 years now, it was made by " Flight Suits LTD " of ElCajon, Ca. What kind of jacket might this be?
The marks are on the jacket, tweed is correct. Look at Sears or Montgomery Wards Winter cataloges, they will give you an idea, a hunting / work style jacket. Cheers!- Fairlane

Question on WWII Jacket Art
As far as the art work is concerned, any thing that you like is ok, as was stated before, it is about you would like to see, of course. As far as the jackets are concerned, repple deppel types have been trading for flight gear since Doolittle was a Lieutenant. Cheers!- Fairlane

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?
I wear a Stetson Crushable in the winter, pretty much all the time now. I have had this hat awhile but never wore it. Now if I go anywhere a hat will go with me, wide or short brim. -

Countdown To Christmas!!
Himmmm, I just put the tree and it looks and works fine. The outside lights have gone up. Maybe tomorrow I will plug them in and see how they look. They are some 1930's camp lighting I have been using for the last 15 years or so, cloth covered wire, full size edison or standard lamp bases. Just...- Fairlane
