As an RAF militaria collector, I can't say that I am strictly into coveralls, but as part of my collection I have around 80 coveralls, ranging from the WWII to the present day (all original), and a pair of repro prestige coveralls similar to the ones that Stearmen posted a picture of. As you...
Hi one & all
I was wondering if there is anyone out there that is looking to sell an RAF Irvin Observer type parachute harness as I will be doing a photoshoot in the new year and my seat type parachute will not be appropriate.
If one is not available to purchase then any help with...
Wow! In less than 150 miles I can be in another country and another time zone! And I'm not talking about taking a plane either. In less than 300 miles I could be sipping Champagne in Reims.
I do like the Romeo y Julietta but the the Fonseca is not for me. The middle east is certainly the place to get cigars, which reminds, I must send the other half back out there to pick me up a couple of boxes.
Ouch! I like to spread my trips out over a couple of days, 300 miles up, 300 miles back next day. Over night with a couple of pints of beer, a good meal and a glass or two of wine. On the company of course.
Will you be on business or pleasure?
Nothing special, too tired to really enjoy anything too special as I have just covered around 300 miles on the road today, so just relaxed with a couple of glasses of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Hi Murphy
I can't offer any help on Home Front info, but what types of reenactment groups are you looking at, Army, Navy, RAF or is your search for reenactment groups again specific to Home Front?
I'm sure I don't have to sell it you any more but it is a really great weekend, a real step back in time and for three days in the year, people are more polite than they are on a daily basis.
Give me a shout when you get over here and we can have a good old English warm beer........well, maybe...
I nearly managed to get some repro ones that had barely been worn in, but when I asked the trader he said "Sorry, but I have sold these already but had forgotten to take them off the website". If anyone does have any broken in but not worn out, repro 36 pattern, size 8 boots, that they are...
It was last year. This is Carolines Spit having just landed on the Thursday before Revival opened last year. I don't know if it's had a respray since then. Caroline was actually a passenger this time.
oh yeah, and then this landed:
That would be great, but at £39K for 10 hours I'll have to swerve. It's also only a conversion course so you already have to have a PPL.
I'd settle for a ride in the back seat. I met Caroline Grace very briefly last year and said to her "OK Caroline, which organ do I need to donate for a...
Tangmere is even closer. I would not want to live anywhere else at the moment. My love of classic cars and aircraft is totally fulfilled. Goodwood have a two seat Spit' based there now and it regularly flies over my house performing lazy aerobatics. And just to add more into the mix, the Vulcan...
Wow, even after all these years, cigars from there are still banned in the US?
Haven't seen any cigars over here that come from the States, but there again I haven't been looking for them. I'll have to see if my cigar shop stocks the ones you mention, they sound good.
Do you mean this one?
To be honest Tim, I don't think that I will be using these goggles for reenactment. Worth too much. If I could find someone that could make exact copies then I'd wear them as I think they look really good and as you say, you don't see any reenactors wearing them.
