I ordered my Half Belt this year in the early spring, so I had a few cold weeks to enjoy it ... of course I told my wife about the price, no chance of concealing it ... since that she has given up any complaining... :)
these are my mont blancs (so far ;) )
the silver fountain pen for work, I use it every day:
the black Meisterstück ballpen with the leather case, I carry it in my jacket every day, even if there is a day off:
if you are not that much into vintage sunglasses, try the Randolph Aviator, it comes with a gold frame, looks cool and is highly functional, it is or has been the standard sunglasses for the US navy and air force, I, for my part, use it in the car, and increasingly every day, I love it, got it...
I can only agree. I have two Mont Blancs - one fountain pen (with cartridges), my wife gave it to me, it is definitely my everyday workhorse at work, very reliable, and one big Meisterstück ballpen I carry around in my jacket, snug in a black Mont Blanc leather case she gave to me, too...
That is a really good idea, the snipping of the prong to get two pointy spikes. I will try that right away with my LVC 1937, the cinch-belt indeed would not stay in place, one time when I pulled it the buckle fell apart, it happened in a movie theater, complete darkness, I tried really hard to...

jeans and shoes
Hi everybody,
Sorry I kept you waiting all the time, but now I am back with some fresh pics of the new stuff I got. I told you about the Wrangler Blue Bell with a loose cut and my Levi's 501 1955 Fault Line. Well, the pants got company, a 1937-style 501 with cinchback and front...
wow, that sure is a beauty. you are right, almost undistinguishable from horsehide. superb jacket and perfect fit. they do a wonderful job at Aero. is it really heavier than horsehide?
quest, I liked the links, thank you. I contacted Amanda at Aero, she told me they could make all the jackets I have an eye on --> the Highwayman, Hercules, Bootlegger or Windward. So there is a great deal of thinking for me to do till this year's winter...
Salv, both jeans have arrived. I am happy with the Wrangler Blue Bell, perfect fit, looks great. Concerning the Levi's Fault Line, it was too long (no problem, why not having a turnup), my father, who has been wearing Levi's himself all his life, told me to launder it first, because the ones he...
I ordered two pair of jeans, a vintage Wrangler Blue Bell 1946 and a Levi's 1955 501 Fault Line. They told me they didn't have a retail store anymore, so I ordered online. It's funny because it's in the same city... [huh] I really hope both jeans will fit... Then it is going to be an expensive...
thank you everybody for all you good wishes and congratulations on my jacket. I wear it every day, as long it is not too warm, the mornings are still cold, the right time to wear it, but on my way home in the afternoon, I often find myself carrying it over my arm already :) and the best news is...
Alpaca lining
I find it pretty warm with the Alpaca lining, but just the sensation of it when you touch or squeeze it makes it worthwhile... for me it's just a shirt under the jacket right now, for work, it's not that cold anymore, and I want to keep it on, even if it's a little warmer than...
you asked for it...
well, I am back. first the pics with me wearing the jacket:
I was really anxious that the jacket would not fit, because of the extras. But at Aero they did a terrific job... When I pulled the jacket out of the box I was overwhelmed about the weight and the...
thanks for the advice, guys, Salv, I checked out the site for the jeans you mentioned, the store indeed is in Berlin, since I am from Berlin, I can go there next week, I already have an eye on a pair of vintage Lee in my size...
my Aero Half Belt
After six long and painful weeks my Half Belt finally arrived. Let me sum up briefly the weeks before I could wrap myself in my jacket:
What we have here is a 1950’s style Horsehide Half Belt in Cordovan, just like the one in Aero’s sample photo, because I liked that one best...
I got myself an Aero Half Belt. Now I feel that I need a pair of jeans and shoes that go with it. Any ideas? I thought of a vintage Lee or Wrangler, but I have no ideas about the shoes, normally I wear Doc Martens, black with or without toe cap.
