Just wear it.... period! Some people do not like pocket flap curl but I do, so I use to tuck the pocket flaps inside the pocket purposely curling the corners of the flap!
Well here is Eastman's take on the Bomber Jacket.... it is really nice too!

If I am not mistaken, ELC or Buzz Rickson's is going to have one soon.... Gary Eastman said awhile back to keep an eye on there A-1 page for something exciting!
Hey, that looks purdy good actually, My very first A-2 was an Avirex about 20 years ago (hey, we all started somewhere....:o ) which I got at the USAF Museum.... still have it and it looks allot like that, well it used to anyways, the finish is well worn off by now!
Some say that there special...
Yes we can, and I didn't intend to hijack your thread and I apologize for that.
:o
Although I am not new to collecting A-2's (been doing it for about 20 years) I am however new to the various message boards, I have known about them for a few years but just never joined because up until the...
I didn’t say anything about thickness or thinness! I was talking about wrinkles and the grain of the hide.
As I said, it is just my opinion and belief… take it or leave it!
Yah, I guess you are right about that, but if you share my belief along with a few other people I know (not going to mention any names) that are considered by many to be the top dogs in the study of original A-2's then I guess we can be happy in our beliefs that some A-2's where most definitely...
Wrinkly Hides
I am probably stepping in a brier patch here but I think cowhide was used allot more in the construction of A-2's than most of us care to believe.... especially in mid to late wartime example's!
"But then again, that’s just me."

I don't have any pic's of the ELC 18775-P as the one I had was about five years ago,and now I find myself in a hell bent for leather search to find...
Aero vs. AERO!
First of all Avirex shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same thread as ELC, RMNz, or Aero! An Avirex is not an authentic repro rather than just an over priced copy of an A-2.
As far as Aero’s go I think the ELC 18775-P (and I probably will get flamed for saying it, but it’s true)...
Thank you....Simply amazing, it really shows the hand applied dye method well. Post all the pic's you want.... we could never get enough. It looks really close to mine ( under different lighting ) and just like the one in the gallery at HPA's website witch is probably the example they used to...
