I just saw these gals in a Three Stooges short a few days ago and I couldn't figure out where I had seen them before. Then I log onto the Fedora Lounge and there is the answer to my question. What a funny coincidence!
I got the cashmere 3/4 sleeve Kate cardigan sweater in park green for Christmas and I am in love with it! I'm a larger size as well and have a hard time finding cardigans that are flattering. I second the vote for Lands End's cardigans for larger gals. The cashmere is a nice thick, sturdy...
But, they had a huge resurgence in the 1990s. I'm thinking of the short, school girl look dresses that got popular in the 1990s thanks to movies like Clueless. A lot of the grunge gals wore them as well and I seem to remember seeing them on a lot of supermodels as well. It may have been a...
No one mentioned the real main-stream start of hip hop style in the early 90s?! Think of the clothing worn on In Living Color and Mtv videos...
What about all the ugly clothing/hairdos from the tv show Friends? Baby doll dresses? All that herion-chic supermodel fashion ugliness?
I totally love wacky late teens/early 20s bathing costumes. Preferably with big bold prints. I saw a picture of one once with a spierweb design on it. Love.
I also really love Mexican souvenier circle skirts. I have one from Acapulco with cliffs and cliff divers painted on it. And...
Ladies, thank you for your feedback regarding selling vintage patterns on eBay. Your expertise is very helpful!
I have one more question, under which category do you list your vintage patterns? When I searched for vintage patterns, I found multiple categories that they would fit under...
A question regarding selling vintage patterns...
Is it better to sell them in lots on eBay? Do you tend to get a better price that way? I have 5 deadstock 1920s patterns (3 dresses, 2 blouses) all bust 38. Do you think I should sell them seperately or in a lot to get the best price?
The few times I've tried velcro/brush rollers, they got tangled up horribly in my hair. I guess they are okay if you have straight, fine hair, but I would not recommend them for thick, curly hair.
The Thayer's rose witch hazel has a really nice scent. It smells just like rosewater or like real roses. I hate that sickly sweet scent that a lot of manufacturers try to pass off as rose, that smells nothing like roses. Dr. Bronner's Rose castile soap has that sickly sweet scent to it. It's...
I thought it was Carefree, but I googled and googled and could not find a picture of that dress so I thought I was wrong.
:) Thanks for the picture! I love that dress.
I've always had it bad for the green dress with plaid trim that Ann Miller wears in the Prehistoric Man number in On the Town. I couldn't find a photo of the dress, but here's a video clip from YouTube:

Also, in what movie does Ginger Rodgers...

Please everyone, do yourself a favor a google Teenie Harris' name. From Wikipedia:
"Charles "Teenie" Harris (1908–1998) was an accomplished African-American photographer.
Harris was born in 1908 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, the son of hotel owners in the city's Hill District. Early...
