Adventurebilt restoration
Took me a half an hour to scrape the dried glue out of the inside of hat and fortunately most of it came out before resizing the adventurebilt hat up to 7 5/8 from 7 1/2. Plenty of crown height to work with and the felt is very nice quality so we didn’t loose anything on the brim . Also Added a... -
Adventurebilt restoration
Was recently sent this adventurebilt hat to restore and while deconstructing hat and trying to remove the liner I noticed that the liner was heavily glued into the felt . Why are hat makers using glue to glue in a liner still? In my mind this is what low end cheap or lazy hat manufacturers did... -
The Conversion Corral
Stylepark Homburg conversion for lounger friend . This is a Nice older hat with decent felt and great ribbons. Original Binding was faded and soiled but the unreeded sweat is still solid and liner in pretty good shape. Hope everyone is staying healthy in these uncertain times. -

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?
Vintage Stetson wide brim that I converted a few years ago. I like this lighter ivory color felt . Not white but has grey flecks in felt when you look at it closely. I added the silk ribbon and the bow end curls up naturally. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

This off eBay recently. Schott #141 in size 40. It’s nicely broken in. Came with removable liner too and it fits pretty well. Got it for riding and the side adjust tabs and gusseted back are why I went for this one. Not sure of vintage but it has a heavy duty YKK zipper . Sent from my iPhone...- bond

Thanks for all the likes on this jacket. I feel lucky enough that the measurements worked out but that it’s also so clean and hard to believe this is a vintage jacket . Vintage Borsalino Homburg conversion to fedora. Basic conversion but instead of using a wider brim binding I choose a narrower binding to keep balance with the lower crown ht and mid width crown ribbon. The Homburg brim was trimmed about 1/8 on one side and about 1/4 on opposing side to get it... -
