Too Small?? Too big? Just right? or How to wear a hat!

Ha, no, I've found that when it comes to fashion (especially in the realm of hats) the "significant other" often has a different idea of what should be worn. (I see you've already encountered this!) lol

    I'm Tempted

Looks like something you'd see people wearing at Mardi Gras.

    Hot Weather Hats

I have something similar to that as my warm-weather hat. Although it is "lighter" than my black felt fedora, it provides no sun protection for the neck. You need something with a broader rim.

    Hat manners?

Gaah! Don't do that to me! That article was from 2006 and said not to forget Fathers' day THIS WEEKEND. Panic attack! OK, everything under control.

Too Small?? Too big? Just right? or How to wear a hat!

What does the loving wife think about it? :7)

    My first custom-made fedora!

Meanings also change over time of course, language is fluid. I think the hat looks quite nice with the suit.

Where do you hang your hat?

It usually depends on the formality of the place, IMO. McDonald's or Waffle House, for example, I might leave my hat on, because the tables might be too sticky or dirty to take my hat off. (They might be too small to find a place for a hat, too.) You also tend to eat with your hands. A...

The Dumbest Comment I Ever Heard

:) by the time we straightened the confusion out that I wasn't actually Jewish, his wife had already gotten in the car and was laying on the horn, wanting to go home.

Are you aware that I have not owned a Television for 5 years?

Don't worry, you haven't missed anything.

The Dumbest Comment I Ever Heard

Walking back from a city council meeting, I was wearing a black coat, black pants, black shoes, a black fedora, a blue shirt (and I forget the color tie I was wearing). A man came up to me, and said, "Shalom!" lol

Type of hat name (yes I want to buy a new hat)

Hey, thanks guys. Now the trick is to find one that doesn't cost $120, and one that isn't made out of styrofoam lol .

Type of hat name (yes I want to buy a new hat)

I am considering buying a new hat, as seen in the photo below, but I have no idea what it is called. The closest I've seen online to this is a "boater"'s hat, but I find it hard to believe that everyone in 1912 would be running around with Italian hats. Please help!

    Dogs make poor pets

Dogs have been with mankind for thousands of years, and will continue to do so. Dogs have been everything from a hunting tool, to a friend, to a recreational plaything, to a transportation device, to food. Dogs are so intertwined with our society that they will not simply "disappear" from our...

    Wallets

I bought a wallet when I went to Mexico with my family in 7th grade... it fell apart in 2 months. My parents then bought me a black wallet in K-Mart, and 17 years later, that cheap wallet is just beginning to show signs of wanting to fall apart. [huh]

    Women’s hats (Akubra?)

Take her to a hat store and actually try some hats on. It'll be fun. Besides, a hat doesn't look the same on the web as it does in real life.

    "Military tuck" for shirt

I was wondering if anyone actually did the "military tuck" for their shirts, and if so, how was it done?

    The Pocket Phone- Cell Phones

Be careful... excessive use of "blackberries" has led to Repetitive Motion Syndrome in people's hands and wrists.

What do you do with a frumpy hubby?

Most guys hate shopping. Eventually, over time, you will start to look alike anyway if you shop for clothes for both you and your husband at the same stores. You can probably convince (most) guys to wear anything just so he doesn't have to go "bra shopping" with you :DDD
