Thank you for clarifying Edward's viewpoint. I'm afraid that this thread headed in that direction on the second post. In view of what we are experiencing today and the influence the unions are now exerting with the OWS , there's no way this can not be perceived as political. Same as it was then...
The only thing that would make that Volvo TP21 better would be suicide doors. Nice rig! John in Covina: Bullseye! Skill's the key.
David: That Fords a Beauty!
This has to be one of the most intelligent, significant, and at the same time, saddening posts. I believe you've pretty well nailed it with this one Hop Up.
P.S. you're previous post was spot-on as well!
Triple A's! Attitude, Architecture and Automobiles. Attitude: The self reliant "can do" attitude that came about after the depression. Architecture: Beautiful, solid, functional construction that was intended to last. Automobiles: Wonderfully flowing, graceful lines that had class and comfort...

Reading this almost made me shed a tear or two. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a decent '58 - '60 for my personal ride. I only hope my lovely wife will drive the '67 we now have.

It's good to see someone else keeping a more-door alive :thumb: I have a '54 Crestline that bought in 1973. still runs but needs a bit of TLC. Wouldn't trade it for anything, or sell it. Trying to keep motivated on a '67 Thunderbird (4 door Landau ) right now. Tell hubby Good Job. :eusa_clap
:cheers1: Glad to see this thread's still going. While I don't have any pics of "stars with their cars", I'm sure enjoying those that have been posted here.
BoPeep: Kudos to you on the shoebox. Lookin' good.
I'm hoping not to appear contentious but, the photo entitled "Ellie In Her Nighty" , is of a 1935-1938 Cadillac Flying lady... not a Rolls Royce. It seems I am unable to post images for some reason so here's a link to Ellie In Her Nighty.

I believe that would most likely be a 30's Cadillac "Flying Lady" ornament. Ms. Crawford's car appears to be a 1932 Cadillac Fleetwood Roadster. Fantastic thread!
Very nice card! Please don't give up on the cards. One of the last real personal contacts one can make in business.I'm retired now, but I handed out cards all the years I was in business. I never bought an ad in the paper or any on the air media. Word of mouth and business cards were all I ever...
