Alas, the price of berets everywhere is going to skyrocket now that Hollywood is jumping into the game. Has everyone seen the So.Pacific Beret blog post today? Just remember what James Bond did to the price of Aston Martins. You used to pick one up for $6,500. And to think, we'll look back on a...
Berets indoors?
I know, and live by, the rule that men remove their hats indoors. Emily Post says this includes the workplace, restaurants and coffee shops.
However, the beret seems apart from the cowboy hat, ballcap, hardhat etc . Anyway, that’s my conceit. What would Paris in the...
Gracious.
You recall that old compliment, Kreissaege: My hat's off to you?
Well mine is off to you.
That comes to mind because I'm guessing it would take the better part of a half-hour for you to take your hats off to anyone or anything, judging from that inventory.

I'm still curious about the berets in some of these great photos you post. I know how long it takes...
Looking at Dann’s great website, it appears many chaps wear their berets more or less all day, adding character to them as they go along.
So how long do they endure, meaning the berets not the wearers? I’m thinking of those traditional berets without headbands, in which wool meets flesh.
I...
I have a question to end this year.
I yearn for a beret. Always have. And I’ve reached the age where I can wear one without self-consciousness. Indeed I’ve ordered a Beret Bakerra from one of the thread’s more knowledgeable, spirited and vowed-endowed souls. And no, I have no idea what a...
One thing...
Here is my experience: You buy a mid-range Montechristi hat from Robert (PanamaBob) and you end up up with a treasure. So you go back to get a beach beater and you end up with another gem. Hard to fault a guy for that.
