For me it would depend on whether the weight loss was welcome or not. If you want to stay that size, I'd say alter your clothes to fit you again. If you are desperately trying to get the weight back on (and if it's realistic to get it back on), then don't alter them.

I think you don't really need a book to do that, only a tracing wheel (I hope that's the correct English term ;))
Just lay the garment you want to copy on a large enough piece of paper, trace the seamlines and add seam allowance.
