With the Retro Ronde in Belgium and Eroica Brittania happening in June is anyone else getting their vintage cycles out this summer.
For the two above events do any other 'loungers' want to arrange a 'meet and greet'?
The bottle carrier does not need to be that expensive:

I considered the UK L'eroica but entry is VERY expensive.
Well the local bike shop got the bottom bracket out. The axle is an engineering work of art (typical German over engineering). Can any of our UK based vintage cyclists suggest a contact who may be able to re-produce this quite complex part?
Well that didn't work. The Model A pickup has been sold so the plan was to use my 1943 bicycle to cycle to the campsite. Only got a mile or so before that decided to break down!
I took the 1943 German army bicycle for a short ride today. Short as the crank arm has begun to round off the square crank and the square hole in the crank arm. Anyone know a good 'man with a lathe?'

My new 'old' bicycle.
I am off to a vintage bicycle rally in a few weeks and decided that much as I would like to do it on a vintage bicycle, modern working items such as brakes etc would be a good idea over 250 miles. So with the help of my local bike shop who runs frame building courses I...
Does anyone know of suppliers (preferably in Europe) who make bicycle helmets that look like they are from the 1930-1940 era?
Bicycle helmet looking ones OR 'disguised' bicycle helmets.
