Why do you wear a fedora or cap?

I started losing my hair in my early 20s and wanted to conceal it while out in public. Since I believe that only baseball players should wear baseball caps, I decided to go for something more vintage and dignified. It's gotten to the point where I refuse to go to my front lawn without a hat.

    Need help identifying Victorian coat.

Thanks. I appreciate any amount of help. I'll do some digging on what you suggested. I don't know the identity of the man in the photograph. The image originally came from a cabinet card that I found online ages ago.

    Need help identifying Victorian coat.

I originally didn't want to post this question on here since these forums tend to focus on clothing from the 1920s-40s. However, I couldn't find any other vintage clothing forums which may have helped me. I was wondering if anyone can identify the type of coat this gentleman is wearing. Or...

    Whats your FAVORITE MOVIE Score?

Michael Kamen's score of Crusoe (1988). A very obscure choice but that haunting theme while he's stuck on that island sure packs an emotional punch.

    Vintage footage (1896-1908)

Most of it is from France. There's some clips of England, Italy, and the US in there as well. That Shannon Quartet song you posted is lovely. :D I'm glad people are liking the video. The speed of the footage was actually too fast or too slow in some cases. I corrected them as best as I could.

    Vintage footage (1896-1908)

Hope it's OK to post this here. I took some vintage actuality footage shot between 1896-1908 and made a video from the clips. I admit the music score is very cliche but nothing else I tried to use worked. I'm still not happy with the end result. Just thought some of you might find the...

Adventure! Fedora Lounge Folks in Action!

Thanks. Sadly, those locations probably won't even exist within 20 years. Mining companies are blasting away all the mountains in West Virginia. Those are some fantastic Ireland pics, Oktobr!

BOARDWALK EMPIRE (HBO) - Everything you wanted to bootleg about the Show!

From the comments here, it seems I'm really missing out. I don't have HBO so I think I'll wait for the DVDs. No sense in ordering HBO when it will probably get cancelled after its second season due to cost overuns.

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

I watched Sunshine Cleaning the other day. I think I enjoyed the concept more than the actual film.
