So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

Why was this never in a slapstick movie?

I don't know what book your niece wrote but I thoroughly enjoy your Amos 'n' Andy book every time I read it.

    Your signature cocktail.

No sales tax, even. I still have the bottle in 2019. Let the party continue!

    Show us what you've made!

Well, I made this in 1981 but seeing as how Karl Lagerfeld died yester-day I'm posting it. Karl Lagerfeld for Chloe Vogue pattern using Chloe designer fabric.

Any hope for mold damaged shoes?

I've also used rubbing alcohol on a damp sponge to remove mold and/or mildew on shoes and handbags. Then I put the item in a sunny window to dry. I hope it works; those are cute shoes.

DEATHS ; Notable Passings; The Thread to Pay Last Respects

Clive Swift was also in Alfred Hitchcock's Frenzy, as our hero's old chum.

Genuinely nice man. Sad that his wife died in an automobile accident in December. Listened to an interview on AM740 Toronto where he wanted to talk about it and the announcer Robbie Lane, (they'd known each other for years) obviously was uncomfortable and changed the subject...Bobby Curtola was...

Anyone else like Hollywood Precode movies?

Anyone besides me going to Cinefest in Syracuse, NY March 19-21, 2015? It's the final one. Plenty of pre-code! I'm getting so excited!

Yes, Richard Attenborough, or as my friend and I call him, Roger (from his role in The Great Escape). So many good movies.

What was the last TV show you watched?

Ironside. The episode called Five Miles High. Mark had on earphones that looked like a stethoscope and laughing at a Barney Fife line we couldn't hear!

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

Cool! My dad treated me to that movie when it came out; I was the baby of the clan and had to suffer uncomprehendingly though more sophisticated movies when the whole family went. Now I have the movie poster!

ironside on NBC is being remade

No, not unless it's on wherever I happen to be, which is how I watch all new shows. I like Blair Underwood too, but I'll stick to reading his mystery series. I like Eve even more, tho, and whoever that dame is, she's no Eve. The episode I watched to-day on MeTV had Gary Collins as a Giant who...

Penguin Paperbacks: New Cover Designs for The Big Sleep

I clicked on the link hoping to see at least one cover with a big eye (I collect those) and sure enough I did! I couldn't choose a favorite, tho, I like 'em all.

Eydie Gorme. One of my absolute favorites. Even Travis McGee rhapsodized about her, but in which book I don't remember.

Yay, Diamondback's back! Missing Loungers whom I miss: kishtu and GOK, to name two.

    Show us your vintage home!

Hi Big Man, the dining room looks nice. It's always good news when family pieces stay in the family; things our people worked hard for and were proud of owning and passing down.
