hi all, i've been away for a LONG time but recently started working on the photos i did of marc chevalier and queenie in their vintage attire in 2006. seems like just yesterday so i am shocked it was 6 years!
i hate to say it, but my current look is jeans and a man's white shirt with rolled up sleeves. and the occasional vintage hawaiian shirt. can't really afford to go full on vintage and where i live, california desert, i would stand out like a sore thumb, and not in an attractive way. one thing i...
no, not my wedding, for a model and a photo shoot! i am STILL working on a story of classic fashions and the wedding dress will be part of that and also for a "art" shoot i have in mind.
i am really really excited! it has taken a long time and i have lost a lot of dresses which means that...
so excited!!
i finally won a wedding dress like i have been trying for for months! it is a size 6-8 which means that if it is too big for the model i can clothespin it together where it wont show.
i am really really thrilled. broke, but thrilled. the dress only has a couple of spots on the...
WWII in south america
i am not sure what my dad was doing, but he spent most of WWII in south america; brazil, nicuaragua, etc. i have his military records and they are rather obscure sounding, courier, flying off to far away places delivering pieces of radar and or other things. he was in...
Fountainhead was also the beginning of the very special relationship between Neal and Cooper.
fab film, but the book was better. but not as good as atlas shrugged.

thanks dottie. i had just waited for so long for this "perfect" one, know what i mean? the old ones come up a lot, but it has to fit my model, and it has to fit what i see in my head AND it has to fit my pocketbook. oh well, i am over it — almost. lol

i am SO bloody ticked, mostly at myself. i lost a wedding gown and veil ib ebay that was simply perfect for a shoot i have planned. and someone outbid me at the last minute. no action on this dress the whole time it was up and wham, sniped. i was busy relearning how to print pics on my printer...
i have used the ones with wire in them and i wrap the bottom part of the hair strand in two pieces of toilet paper. that keeps the ends from getting funky and too curly. two pieces because that wraps easier than just one!

stunning but....
the architectural details are just sumptious, but i find the loft spaces to be cut up too much - or at least that is the way it looks from the pics.
i had a loft, long before loft living became in, in a real working warehouse in the east bay. now that is all developed and no...

Fred Harvey
i use an old pattern by syracuse china called berkeley used in the fred harvey restaurants along the santa fe line. i collected a ton on ebay, now i am going to sell the whole bunch and just use paper plates!

true, but that doesn't mean it wasn't altered way back when. notice how his face/head does not cast any shadow on his collar - which is odd because his neck is in shadow. trust me, this is just plain goofy. No photoshop in those days to do a better job. :D
