Thanks for posting. Some of these labels I've never seen before. To Edward's point, it would be interesting to know which label is the "default" for a jacket if you didn't ask?
Welcome Janx! Your half belt looks sweet and really breaking in nicely. The contrast stitching is subtle but a nice touch. Out of curiosity how much length did the sleeves shorten due to the wrinkling? The sleeve length looks good to me as is so I wondered how you ordered it.
BTW- what up...
Excellent choice Fanch. I really like the Sheene design and it fits you like a glove. Olive drill would be my choice as well. It has a really clean look in the back with no shoulder gussets, no kidney panel and single yoke. This jacket almost doesn't look like it's modeled after the cafe...
Carrie, what is the difference between the Sheene board racer and a regular one? I thought the Sheene was because of a Highwayman collar but not on this one.. Thanks.
The grain of the Italian HH looks absolutely fantastic. Thanks for all the great photos. I was wondering what label Aero would put on a jacket with leather supplied from another source..
Fanch, Looks great! and agree this cut suits your body style well..
As a fellow Texan, how are you able to wear all your jackets in our weather? I look forward to traveling somewhere cold just to give mine some wear:)
mowgli222- love the look of the Sheene as well.. Both Technovox and 06911 had great pictorials.. based on a prior thread Holly from Aero said horsehide only went up to 3 oz and that's what they use. I prefer regular to tumbled but don't mind the break in .. I think the best liner for...
Thanks, that makes sense.. Maybe the PL3 comes with a double zipper for just that reason? Just saying that 23" was too short for my taste and I like more like 25" or 26" in a racer.. there are plenty around that length without having a flared bottom.
Thanks for the fit pictures ProteinNerd. The hide on your jackets looks amazing. I really liked the pictures of the J-100 on the web but honestly after seeing the fit pictures, I'm not a huge fan of the flared bottom. I prefer the shorter version albeit with a couple of inches added. The...
Jacket looks really well made and great leather. I've seen several members with custom made jackets that warrant an additional look at Johnson Leathers..
I was curious about how the Horween bison looked in brown. I really like the look of the grain and should look better as you break it in. Lining looks good with the black.
Welcome Monitor. I used to own a Schott 689HH. I'm 6'1" and I really liked the way this jacket fit in the shoulders and chest but the sleeves were too short by a good inch or two. It was worse when riding a motorcycle as the sleeves pulled up over my wrists. Also the horsehide had a shiny...
While the Perfecto was initially associated as the Brando-type biker jacket, I seem to recall reading that Perfecto brand also refers to Schott jackets made with better quality cowhide leather, steer, horse, etc...
