For sale is a stetson whippet in a size 7. The color is a medium gray, and I think it has a slight blue undertone, maybe a steel gray? The brim is just under 2.5". The ribbon is 1 5/8". I'm unfamiliar with dating stetsons and the various whippets, but I think this one dates to the 50s. The...- Iyor

I have for sale a beautiful vintage stetson that I believe dates to the 1940s. The color is a mixed blue gray, and it has a self felted ribbon. It is a size 7, and it fits true to size. The 2 5/8" brim is spiral stitched. 175 shipped- Iyor

Great catch Randall, a steal at that price. I think Alan is right though, those boxes were meant for packing to your destination. If I recall correctly I have only seen them paired with hats bought in Europe. -
