Art does some nice felt ribbons but you are restricted to what gets trimmed off the brim when he makes your hat or someone else' using the same color felt. My forest green hat began life with a regular ribbon and got upgraded when I visited him and saw the cut off piece of forest green felt...
It's a 2.75" brim and the crown is probably about 4.75" in the front and 3/8 to .5" lower in the back.
5.5" open crown and a 2.75" brim are pretty much my standard measurements for anything I have Art make. The last one I had made with a 5.75" crown and it looked really weird for a while:)

Art is justly famed for his ribbon work but he did something for me recently that I've never seen on any of his hats before.
When Art told me he had added forest green to his felt colors I asked him to replicate...
I find that a liner does make a considerable difference in heat retention.
The 2 Akubras and the Beaver Brand that I use as trail hats have had the liners removed. Same for my VS that I use as a shooting hat.
