I agree that this is a strange contract.
Johns jacket has stitch marks of a name tag and two patches on the shoulders, it was also probably used by someone in the Navy. My jacket from Clipper PAA which was part of USN.
correct.
but on CD "CONTRACT NO.261953"
From John CD
"Flying Equipment Co. had one USN contract for the G-1....."
Clippers was purchased by the U.S. Navy , and operated by Pan Am.
This is right.
And this is two different label.

I have Flying Equipment with 100% correct label.
Full Gear and Suit UP is not perfect references.

On John Chapman CD you can see "civilian" version...
Just beware 50's or 60's G-1 relatively short, not like WW2. After 55J14 contract navy leather is shorter on body, but some contract like 7823 Monarch is in older shape(but rare and expensive). You can try sz50 but need to cutting sleeves, and waistband is other question. I think 44-46 will be...
SAS was in WW2 not very large. How it is possible so many SAS Smock survived?
This interesting videos to SBS smock, what i can see this is camouflage, no front pockets and Full zipped.

Doesn't have Belgian Denison six snaps on front? On video no snaps.
Other question for me, is windproof smock really special for SAS or windproof for drivers and infantrymen?
