Hey, thanks fellers. It is a beauty. The Akubra Traveler is a better fit for my needs. After trying the Traveler I found I much prefer a cloth band. Anyway, thanks for your wisdom but it's still for sale! Dave- Big Dave

Hi everyone, I asked Art to make me a lightweight hat for the field....kind of an Akubra. It's beautiful but a little too fancy to take hunting and such. The liner was left out for ventilation and the brim is 2 3/4. The edge was bound to keep it from flopping. I'm asking $220 shipped...- Big Dave

They last me about 5 years. They are pretty tough and guaranteed against mildew! I could have returned this one years ago for mildew and the hole. I think it's time to take them up on their guarantee again. I recently found a hat I like more. I'm sure it won't last 5 years but... -
