Haha! Mullets are one retro look that I just don't get into! Ok Ok I will say that Billy Ray Cyrus WAS hot. I think it was the tight jeans, and maybe a tad of the hair. LOL So glad we share the same tastes Penny!
i bought one of those but they only have 3 hooks and the Lane Bryant Bras have 4 to 5 hooks on most bras. The left over hook digs into my back :eusa_doh:
I am a diva-sized pear shape and I can rock full and A line skirt. Pants are not my friend, nor are most pencil skirts. So 50s full dresses and 40s A line dresses are the best fit for me. A nice fitted bodice shows off the curves.
hey, you know what: my husband laughs at me when i do new things (like you were doing) because he just thinks i'm "Cute" for what ever reason he has. So maybe he just thought you were cute and it really wasn't about your actual makeup at all ;)
WOW! COOL! That whole concept is interesting to me....since i have been in love with reject clothing/objects for a long time. I like the idea of rejecting commercial "beauty." and this is certainly a way of doing it. also on your other statement about judging people who dont smile as...
wahine: just a note about the cut I described above. For fine hair (which) I have. Have her cut it DRY. It changes the tension on the hair. My fine is hair is cut this way, dry, and I do not have any issues with holding curls. Cutting it dry reduces the tension and allows the curls to "spring"...
VERY AWESOME ADVICE :D I also like to add that not every big girl wants to wear shirt dresses or sheath dresses. If you are pear shaped the belt causes fabric to bunch above your bum.
I was watching the movie Thirteen Days this weekend; I have been on a early 60s style bender lately. I saw this Lincoln in black during the movie and was instantly in car lust. This whole jagged profile is very eye catching. I like it alot in red ;)
That's EXACTLY what I mean sweetheart! The drawings are cute!
I know this from experience; my hairdresser does not cut my hair, my mom does. Mom is a retired hairdresser from the 60s when they still taught these techniques. The hairdresser I have now, I go to for hair color; and she made a...
Some ideas of what could be wrong:
The top layer should be the longest length, and the layers under it should be progressively shorter. The underneath layers are all cut to "meet" the length of the top layer.
She (hairdresser) may have done the opposite by putting the longest layer on the...
you know what i just realized...the rolls go better when parted to my left instead of my right!!! DUH all this time i have been forcing them to go the other direction! If it aint workin right..try the part the other direction. who woulda thunk it. :p
I think you should wear as much as you feel comfortable wearing; if that's just eyeliner and mascara then it's going to be awesome enough. I personally dont go thru using the whole routine of powder, foundation, blush. etc... I do the brows, eyes, and lips then i am done. wha-la. :p
i am finding that the middy works great to reproduce the 60s hairstyles as well. If I blow dry it staright and curl under it creates a 60s bob look. i tease it at the crown to create a bump and its adorable. so if you are afraid it wont look good straight dont worry. I like mine. only problem is...
