Luxire spear point collars
What is the length of those points? I would guess around 4 1/2"? I was thinking of starting off conservative, maybe around 4". Also, what is the width of the collar around the back?
Can someone clue me in on the correct way to describe the narrow, long pointy collars of the 1920-30s with a very narrow spread? I'm not sure if "spearpoint" is exactly accurate for the style i'm interested in. If you take a look at this picture of a 1930s era workwear shirt, you'll notice...
After a frustrating search for off the rack dress shirts (and casual shirts) that fit me well and have the correct long point collars that are characteristic of the 20s/30s, I've decided to go custom. (That is, unless there is an outfit somewhere that sells shirts with period styling ready to...
I just picked up these Vietnam era army chinos. Here are some pics. I'm curious if you guys think they could pass for 1940s pattern chinos or if the cut has that 1970s look. They are a darker khaki, kind of British khakis. They are pretty high-waisted and somewhat full, although they seem to...
I'm still in the market for pair of suede oxfords, preferably dark brown--either solid brown or with wingtip stitching--with lightweight, comfortable rubber "crepe" soles.
First question: What is the period appropriateness of these shoes? When were they first worn historically, and with what...
I'm still searching for that perfect pair of HIGH RISE khakis/chinos. By 'high rise', I don't mean period high-rise with a buckle back, I just mean a regular pair of khakis for everyday wear that fits me well. Everything I've tried on, with perhaps the exception of Bill's Khakis have too low...
I'm looking for suggestions for a pair of suede saddle shoes or wingtips.
This is what I have in mind:

I would also be interested in a pair of dark chocolate brown wingtip suedes.
Thoughts?
Has anyone tried on these pants before? How do they fit? Do they have a decently long rise?

I'm curious if anyone has had success with surplus army pants in cotton that could pass for casual wear. I'm thinking along the lines of European vintage 1950s-60s, maybe German moleskin or Swiss or Australian stuff? I'd prefer that there be minimal to none cargo pockets--not looking for a...
How do K-1's fit?
I just saw the K1's are back in stock with free shipping, but they are in STRAIGHT fit. According to Dockers, that means it sits slightly BELOW the waist. Can anyone who has tried these out confirm this? I was hoping for a long rise. Again, they get the styling...
Dockers K-1's
Do Dockers K-1's fit right, or do they just have the vintage appeal? I see tons of clothes labeled "vintage," but the fit is all wrong, mostly LOW RISE. When I try them on, the waist is loose at my natural waist, like it was meant to sag down to my hips or something.
It...
I'm looking for something basic, a pair of khakis, plain front, kind of outdoorsish and 1930s/40s. Attention to period detail is not overly critical, but fit is important--in particular, I want a decently high rise. I can't seem to find any khakis that fit me well these days...They all seem to...
