If you have John's CD this jacket is on there for you to look at. Being a 44 it is the biggest in the BR line (at that time). Down the front it is 23.5 (along the windflap). Just about 24 pit to pit. 19.25 in the shoulder span. I have a 42 in the same jacket and the difference is the extra inch...
hate to part with this but the temps in CA just don't lend themselves to having this heavy of a jacket. This is brand new got it in late April (too warm to wear) and have worn it once (just last week). So it really is just like new. Size 42 but here are the measurments
pit to pit is 24.5...
I know he is the master. No hot water treatment or breaking in for this jacket just wear. I can never get mine to look like this. Have a BR RW 23380 with Bronco Hide and it is almost six years old and still doesn't look like this and I have worn it to death.
Got lucky enough to convince a member to part with this great jacket. Hope to have it by the end of the week. Here are some of his photos of it. Enjoy.
If you want a real B-10 don't bother with the Pike one. It in no way compares to the Buzz or ELC model. Save your money and go with one of them. Had a BR, ELC, and RMJ and each was excellent just didn't like the fit of the B-10 on me and was attracted by other jackets.
If I recall on the arms (since I no longer have the jacket) it ran about 25 inches from the shoulder to the end of the knit cuff. This is about prefect for me. Sorry no pictures.
Don't worry about turning 40 it is 50 that sucks. Based on your size I would suggest a 42 in ELC jackets. You might be able to get into a 40 but the Werber runs a bit snug. The Star (I had one) is a bit bigger. So you probably could take a 40 in the Star and a 42 in the Werber.
My first flight jacket was an issue G-1 probably a 1968 model (had no tag) given to me by my Uncle who got it from some Navy test pilots at Pax river in Maryland. Still have it and it fits
I really like my leather jackets (A2s and G1s) but when it is cold, windy, with a hint of rain I go for my military issue Goretex jackets. The new digtal pattern has a fleece removeable liner which can be worn separately. Very nice very warm and breathable. I also really like the CWU-45 and...
Here is one of A2s from unused jackets from the series a Roughwear
This Dubow was made from the same leather used for the other A2s I had the BoB painted patch and wings added.
