Many beloved jackets that have served one faithfully for many years, look like the first two pics. When sent in for repairs, I frequently hear "I want to keep the patina so don't put anything on it."

This jacket had blousy sleeves and I took 2 inches out of the cuff circumference tapering up to a few inches from the sleeve hole. Then I closed the side pockets and added two to the front.
I just added zippers to the sleeves in this jacket (where there were no zippers before). The jacket was sent for this reason and also for a new lining which is why you don't see one in the jacket. I don't have that done yet.
