Early 70's, living in Germany and finally got a real motorcycle.
Of course, I had to have a leather jacket. Actually, I got hooked as a kid when my dad bought a leather jacket that we all used racing the go kart...loved the smell of the leather as an 11 year old....got started early.
Anyway, I...
Sounds great, I think Stuart kind of concentrated on the bike market for a while. I've worn a Lost Worlds Easy Ryder for the last 10 years or so and thousands of miles in all kinds of weather on my 1972 BMW R75.
Thanks. Didn't occur to me to try a size smaller than my actual 42R, especially with Stu always talking about the relatively tight fit. The Downtown 42R is still pretty roomy even with a sweater and the sleeves are just a touch long. I'm 5' 9" and 180 lbs. I kind of really swim in the 44R...

One thing bears mentioning regarding LW: the actual specs seem to change in some cases over the years. For example I have traded a couple of newer jackets for the same model used and older and found some differences in sleeve length. Stuart's newer models seem to have longer sleeves.
Flame, my size is also 42R and my first Downtown I bought in 44 thinking I'd wear it with big sweaters etc. Which works ok but it is really big with just a shirt. I then bought another one in 42R and it's better, but still quite roomy and the sleeves are still a little long.
Wondering how...
Have a Raider in Olive (sateen cotton), love it. Great spring and fall jacket.
I really love all of Stuart's jackets I've ever had, even the ones that didn't fit quite right. They are all masterpieces. I have never seen anything in any Lost Worlds jacket that is not top notch.
Yes, Stuart is his own man and he is very clear about how he does business. No problem there for me. I have bought 5 jackets from Stuart and the quality of material and workmanship is phenomenally good on all of them. He has always responded immediately and positively to any customer service...
I have had a Lost Worlds Easy Ryder heavy HH jacket for over 10 years. I've ridden it in all kinds of weather, including rain. (Yes, even here in California.) Last moto camping trip it actually got soaked all the way through. No shrinkage.

LOST WORLDS HORSEHIDE CAR COAT DOWNTOWN MODEL SIZE 44R HEAVY 4 OZ WEIGHT LEATHER BLACK
Would actually prefer to trade for same item size 42R
It was always a little big but I've lost some weight and I don't wear it any more. I live in southern California so it is really barely broken in...
Hi all,
I bought this Raider new from Stuart about 5 years ago. It was a little big when I bought it and now it is definitely too big so I don't wear it any more. I live in southern California so it doesn't see much use and is therefore in great condition. There is a slight abrasion on one...
Hi all,
Great forum and I appreciate it! Not sure I've posted before and I admit I didn't read all the pages, but I own a Lost Worlds Australian and I love it. I wear a 42R suit jacket or sport coat but bought the LW in 44 so I could wear a sweater under it. I had to have Stuart shorten the...
