When i was in my early 20’s I bought a Compaq or HP laptop from Computer City and it crashed during startup. I took it back for a refund or replacement, and they refused to help.
I came back with my mother.
I got the refund (and bought a Mac.)

Not exactly work boots, though a lot of folks do work in chelsea boots. Was looking for a lighter colored boot for summer. These are waterproof, with a good commando tread, and made of thick leather. AE Surrey Chelsea boots. From their seconds sale.

In these fit pics, to my eye, it resembles the Maxwell somewhat. I can see the cross zip pattern a bit but it doesn’t immediately strike me as a cross zip.

Finally some fit pics of the moonshiner! Been wondering what it looks like on a person since they came out with it. Came close to buying one but there were no fit pics available anywhere. Even asked Thurston for some but nope. Thanks for posting!

Thanks! Dying leather stuff is new to me. But so far I’ve done 2 pairs of boots and a jacket. And my hands.
The cowboy boots and jacket I went for a deep dye. These though I went for a shallow teacore type dye. Oiled them up first and then put the dye on not too thick. Time will tell whether...
AE Higgins Mill. Brown Chromexcel dyed black. I was gonna buy some black Semi Dress, but couldn’t find a deal in my size, so I thought, I’ve already got other brown boots (SD and Indy) and I don’t wear these much, so maybe I’ll dye them black and not have to buy another pair...

Some years ago I read they used 50/50 neatsfoot & lanolin.... for preserving old leather bound books. (iirc.)
Obenhauf’s supposedly came out on top in some lab test of various preservatives.
I like Obenhauf’s, my homemade stuff, Lexol, and Venetian leather balm... but all for slightly...
Pecards or vaseline? No thanks. Don’t put mineral oil or petroleum based oils on your leather. Nothing that will eventually turn rancid or break down the leather.
Use obenauf’s or some other similar conditioner. I make my own with 2 parts jojoba oil and 1 part beeswax melted together.

I know a guy that it would probably fit well... short guy like me but with long arms (unlike me). But I don’t think he’s a jacket guy. Some of us are oddly shaped. I wear a 38 or 40, but with 23” sleeves and 23” length!

Dyed it black last night. Used Fiebing’s Pro dye, which is a pigmented oil rather than liquid infused with pigmented powder... it went on easily. Brushed on with a wool dauber and then rubbed it with an old t shirt. Oiled and waxed morning after. Also wearing my old brown Noconas that I dyed...
This custom sized Wested horsehide Firenze came in the mail today. I’m short and stocky so standard sizes don’t fit. This turned out pretty well, I think. I’m planning to dye it black, as my Raiders is already the dark brown horsehide.
