wow! Thanks! I knew that hat had to be great quality, but i didn't expect it to be a good as it is. I'd guesstimate it to be 1930s, but is there any way to verify this for sure? (i have photos posted elsewhere on the site)

    Show us your TIES

many of these ties are from defunct department stores from upstate NY, where i bought them cheap (10 for 6 bucks, or something like that). I wore all of these at least once, but had ot let about 15 of them go because didn't have any place to wear them. These are all 1920s-1960s

whats the closest thing to Traveling back in Time? to get a feel of times past?

For me, it's a state of mind. I conjure up a series of thoughts and images that help me get in the mood for the 1940s.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

I'm wearing a circa 1930s fawn colored fedora. I received it as a gift exactly one year ago, today. I've pretty much lived in this thing. It's gorgeous. I think it's a hat by Lee Hatters from Connecticut.

What Have You Acquired From Family?

Untouched for possibly 60 years, This 1945 Bulova Squadron 'B' watch was discovered by myself amongst my late grandfather's things last Friday. It was possibly bought by my great grandfather either for himself, or for his son on his 13th birthday in February of '45. This watch came with the...

    Wanted: 1930s-1940s Sport Coat

I'm looking for a genuine 1930s or 1940s sport coat (belted, pleated back preferred) in a men's size 46 for under 50 dollars. Or alternatively a 1960s-1970s sport coat that is a good copy of a 30s-40s one. If I'm nuts for seeking one this old, in this size for this price, tell me.
