I have to comment that I concur with Sam's opinion of the PHD Special Reserve. The body is beautifully-woven, light as a feather, and well-blocked. The unnecessary liner, sweatbnd, and ribbon don't do justice to the body. Mine will be heading out west as well.
Lots of terrific lids since I last dropped by but I must compliment Mr. P on his vintage Resistol, his Stetson OR 3X Beaver, and, especially, on his new grandchild!
Those are terrific, Mike. Thanks for posting this. The Architectural Series can be ordered from their online store. I'll be ordering Fallingwater when it is released in August.
Alan, Great picture. Has 60's casual written all over it! :D
JT, Great job on that 4X Stetson. With a different crown block it would be a swell fedora but it looks good as blocked. The Gusdora may find it's way into FL lore. Who knows? [huh]
We had treehouses and forts made of all kinds of materials we could scrounge when I was a kid. Lightning Bugs in Mason jars and playing hide & seek and tag until it was too dark to see. Those were the days.
I believe Joan Baez sleeps/slept on a raised platform outdoors at her home.
He will always be remembered as being among the pantheon of transcendant performers of his generation.
He knew greatness and he knew frailty.
He touched the lives of millions.
May he Rest in Peace.
