I’m really not sure if anything can be done. Probably storing them after every wear with a shoe tree? I suspect it will only delay and slow down the crease from forming but eventually it will show.
If they fit fine I’d say just go along with it, it’s a feature of an unstructured toe. I suspect...
The 42 imho looks fine. I personally don’t like jacket skin tight at the waist as I normally wear my jackets zipped up. That said I can’t help but to think about the Mulholland whenever I see this jacket.
Oh and one big difference. The Clinch were CN last soft toe. The soft toe seemed like a nice idea before purchasing them but then I found that after some wear my big toe was poking through. Wasn’t a massive fan of that. (Clinch can be spec’ed in different ways of course with a toe box too and...
Both horsebutts are vegetable tanned, similar thickness and hand but different finishing.
The pair of Clinch I had was in black overdyed Horsebutt. By putting them under the sun you could clearly see they were hand painted in black and looked almost brown. This goes along with the “handmade”...
I’ve owned both Clinch and Attractions in Horsebutt. They are both outstanding leathers and I wouldn’t know which one to pick. They both age beautifully. I’d stay clear of Clinch Latigo leather. It’s nice but imho unnecessarily thick.
Clinch have a more artisanal feeling to them. They are hand...
Attractions are my first choice when it comes to engineers. For me they strike the perfect balance of quality (leather/construction) and aesthetics.
Clinch are of course very nice but that price imho is just over the top. Plus I just really prefer Attractions last which cost less than half...
12.5oz that shrinks to 14 imho is plenty though and thick. You get all the creases etc. you can imagine without feeling like you are wearing a rug. The way denim ages has more to do with the properties of the fabric than its thickness, like leather really.
Theroux is 1.75m... Tom cruise is just wearing a jacket two sizes too big with the sleeves almost covering all his hand which make his arms look even shorter.
In these pictures, it looks too tight from the front (chest) but too loose (extra material around the pits) from the back. I think this has to do with the pattern more than anything else.
What?! Right I didn’t know that... the he got it at 40% off the full retail price. I guess that’s a good deal if the only issue are those 2 little scratches. Unless it doesn’t fit...
If you paid $650 for it, it’s not like you made the deal of the century (it’s $775 new from Schott) so if those 2 blemishes are really bugging you that much I would request a return and buy new directly from Schott.
That said I also think that if you wear it out twice you’ll probably get those...
I was about to say the same. South of England, past week (and for the next at least) it rarely hit 20C at midday and it’s around 13C in the morning and 10C or lower at night, windy as hell and cloudy.
I miss the Italian summers very much, especially when I see photos of family and friends...
I think the Lee Europe premium versions are a bit elongated compared to the originals and the arms are slimmed down.
I’ve got a Storm Rider made in US from the 70s in NOS condition and the proportions look different. It’s extremely v-shaped with roomy arms. I feel like I could qualify for Mr...
