The bird pin on the Adam National Heritage Series seemed a good choice with tonight's selection.....after all, Ben Franklin had nominated the wild turkey to be our national symbol but the bald eagle won out.
Probably the best practice...but at the end of some days the back just hurts too bad to go to bed sober. The key, I've found, is knowing where the line is and taking care not to cross it. Not too often, anyway.
80 proof #7 for me last night. And tonight. I appreciate the fact that I can have a few if the need arises (like last night after a 14 hour day) and still feel fine the next morning. I can enjoy the higher proofs on the weekend when I have the luxury of unwinding a little looser.

I also picked up this book about vintage ties. About the first 1/3 of it is about a little history of neckties and pictures of ties from the 20s and 30s. The other 2/3 is full of photos from the post-war bold look era.
Thank you Eric....and so sorry for your loss as well. I don't know the situation in Minnesota but here in Alabama it seems a little more common sense might improve things immensely.
