    You've got the date range nailed pretty well. Tons of manufacturers offered this style of jacket, so that may be harder to pin down. Recent closed ebay auctions value these style of jackets between $150-250.

    The Vintage Fashion Expo won't be worth your time, go to Inspiration instead. The only vendor at VFE worth seeing is Reese's Vintage Pieces or Ardis, both of which can be contacted directly. Trust me, you'll be happier at Inspiration.

    I'm not sure what you are asking re: the first question. Are you looking for name brands for vintage shirts from the 1940s and 1950s? Or modern brands? The second question is easy, 1940s and early 1950s shirts had larger pointier collars generally speaking.
