I love my Cascade and see you love yours as well.
It's such a well-designed jacket. Really comfortable to wear. They really nailed it with the back/shoulder design. And the stripes on the back make yours even more special.
This Vanson looks like it could be a solid deal for someone:

Hey, who turned down the heat? We've dropped from 70° F to 39° F in just two days. Spring has been fickle.
No matter. My quilt-lined Johnson Leathers M-200 (made for Worn Out West) is toasty warm.
Thanks, since that post about the dressing treatment last summer, I followed up with some Vaseline in the fall. The leather became even more dark and supple. It seemed to really take to the Pecards/Vaseline combo treatment.
Updating this thread because I've made a major discovery.
"Rich-Sher" jackets were made by the Novelty Sportswear Manufacturing Company. Almost all the Rich-Sher jacket labels have "NS" in the logo, either in a crest or under a stylized arch.
I found this reference in a 1957 newspaper ad...
1983 Langlitz Cascade, brown cowhide.
I marvel at how comfortable this jacket is at the chest, back and shoulders. Truly a simple, elegant and ergonomic design that has stood the test of time.
I'm surprised they don't offer anything but a downloadable PDF. Saves on printing and mailing costs. I suppose it's made up for in the jacket pricing. Still, looking forward to receiving my print copy.
Beautiful jacket, @b1lf. Was this your primary jacket over that two-year period? How often did you wear it to break it in?
I tired to click on your photos for enlargements but only got this:
I saw the video before you started the thread. Cool jacket! To me it’s reminiscent of a trucker/cafe racer hybrid. The large collar lapels make it something else altogether.
As noted above, the style seems 1970s to me despite the embroidered label.
Very cool jacket and I also like the chain link for a pull. I believe the Sears “Oakbrook” jackets are 1960s. The leather is said to be better than on the later “Leather Shop” jackets.
