    Heat resistant fabric?

Hello everyone, I'm looking for a fabric that could withstand heat at around 100 C / 210 F , but wouldn't be a harsh material. As pliable and soft to the touch as possible. Thoughts..??

Dear TFL members, A question about flanging... If the front and back of a flange is lets say 3cm (1.2inches), and the sides are 1.5cm(0.6inches), after flanging, will the hat 'snap' and stay nicely? Attaching a picture of a result I'm looking for. Thank you in advance for your answers! -Emilis

I have a block coming to me already, I have a self-made tollicker, I'm going to make a pusherdown aswell, instead of buy a pullerdown I just bought a boomerang, so I only need a flange and a rounding jack (which...

I agree, but I would believe that over the years someone might have made a modern version/approach to this. Which book would you recommend for me to read?

So the situation for me is like this... In my country, there is literally only one lady that makes hats, and when I started asking questions about apprenticeship, she clearly started ignoring. Next, there is no course in any school that teaches anything related to hat making. Then the global...

But that's the thing, I do not want my hats brim to be flat, nor to be facing up like your "flat" hats brim is. The ones I would like to make, the brim would be facing down. Is there a flange for that aswell?

I'm actually won't be needing a flange, as I'm not going for a traditional style of fedoras brim. Attaching a few pictures of what I will be going for... THOUGHTS?

You're right, but the idea is to fit heads sized 56-60cm, not all. Or you think the elastic sweatband wouldn't work on such a wide scale of heads?
