Sure, 5k may seem like a substantial bit of green for a collection of quality leather jackets. But look at it this way- as far as collecting goes, it could be much, much more worse...say if you were collecting post war art, vintage cars, Italian motorcycles, Rolexes and Pateks, horses or yachts...- technovox

Nine Lives rider's jacket
Pros- I’m liking the spread collar, the offset zip design, and the initial simplicity of the cut. It takes a lot of guts to make a simple jacket without a lot of front embellishments. Cons- I’m not liking the seams bisecting the front pockets, don’t like the back angled shoulder seams at all...- technovox

You might be better off going with a custom order. From experience, I've found it's rare, if not impossible, to find a vintage jacket with longer sleeves. Especially in Half-belts, Perfectos, and...Type 3/Truckers.- technovox

I think you're absolutely on the right track as far as getting a good fit out of the trucker jacket. My working theory is a Type 3 SHOULD definitely go towards the shorter side. And with the classic V shape cut, snug is preferable.... and baggy is the last thing that should happen. I've been...- technovox

Nice Score! Looks like you nailed the fit too! Love the creases on the back, and the wear around the cuffs. It's really hard to beat the look, the hide, and the cut of those older Levis when it comes to a Type 3 in leather. Is this a "Shorthorn" version?"- technovox

I totally agree with Monitor on this one. Send it back...you won't regret it for a moment. I also tried on the same Levis Trucker in Buffalo (made in India) at the Levis retail store last Spring. They were offering them at a substantial discount, so I took one home. And a day later I returned...- technovox

Here's a vintage brown Suede Trucker by Schott that I picked up a while ago. Possibly from the 70's or 60's? I was looking for something similar in texture, color & cut to the jacket worn by John Lennon on Rubber Soul...or at least inspired by it.
