Thanks! I just got off the phone with Knudsen, and they did confirm for me that for the money I am looking to spend, it is a Stetson carson they modify, so quality will be the same. I guess I’m just nervous about cutting an almost $300 hat and potentially ruining it.
Hello friends,
I have just become the happy and proud owner of a Stetson carson. Like many people who have posted before, it is not exactly right for me in stock form, and I need some advice/help in getting the right look. I specifically want to get the look Raylan had in season 6. Is it worth...
Hello friends,
I recently procured a stock Stetson Carson. I love the hat, but as some of you may know, it is different from the hat raylan givens wears in justified and that was really what I wanted. My question is this, does it make sense to cut the brim or should I just return it and wait...
Johnnycanuck, that is a really sharp look on you! I would have been worried that the brim would have looked to short when considering a 3 1/4 in purchasing, but as was said earlier, it's down to the individual, and that hat looks awesome on you. Thanks for all of the help guys. This was exactly...
Thanks Johnnycanuck and Jedwbpm. Very helpful!! Jedwbpm, what do you mean by current production? Show has been off the air for a few years now. Can you elaborate when you get the chance? Do mean final season?
Hey guys, I'm going to ask a question that has been asked before, so get ready to repeat yourselves (sorry). I've perused the forums on the Raylan Givens Justified hat, but haven't quite found the answer to the question that I've been wondering for a while. I think it's what happens when you...
It's too bad. Monitor, from what you said and the pictures you pm'd me, the classic Walter Dyer's seemed fantastic! Although, as I said, there certainly wasn't anything wrong with it, and it seemed like a real quality USA made jacket; I just wouldn't call it a heavy duty motorcycle jacket.
My litmus test for "biker jackets," is that it should be robust enough to save you and not tear if you spill on a bike, but you should also be able to wear it everyday casually and not look like a member of the village people. I would rate the current Walter dyer line up as better then a schott...
Well guys, here's what I've learned. Today I drove up to Framingham, went to their store, and tried some stuff on. They're jackets are... solid. I mean nothing really special about them like there is with a Natal, but nothing "wrong" either. Sizing is a little strange, the pockets are leather...
Hey all, I'm looking to buy a Walter Dyer scooter jacket, but being the pain in the ass that I am I never like to buy anything, especially a jacket, without doing a lot of research. Having talked with a few people on here, it's clear that these things are pretty well built and robust. Does...
Thanks a ton! Any pics are hugely appreciated. You know how it goes, you think it looks great on the website, but then you buy it, and it looks totally different being worn.
Hey there! I'm thinking of buying a walter dyer scooter jacket, and from what i understand from reading the forums is that you owned a cafe racer from him at one point. Would you mind sending me any pics you may have of it? I'd be very grateful. The ones that were posted are no longer there...
Hey there! I'm on the hunt for a walter dyer cafe racer, but before I buy one I'm trying to find as many pics as I can of them. From reading the forums I understand that you either own, or have owned one. Would you mind sending me any pics you may have of it? I'd be very grateful!
Navetsea - Thanks a lot for the suggestion! I looked at the revit, and it is a seriously cool jacket. The only complaint I have, and I'm sorry for everyone reading if I'm being a pain in the butt at this point, but I really want my new jacket to have a bi-swing back because of my riding...
Thanks for the input guys. The only thing is that I really don't want to buy a jacket that has been broken in by someone else. I'd like to buy new and have it conform and age with me. Thanks for all the suggestions! Keep em' coming if you can.
