I'd imagine that reinforcing the seat with quilted denim would make them incredibly uncomfortable to walk around in. The quilting effect also won't let the denim settle and conform like a double knee does. It would be like having the back pockets placed at your inner thighs.
Probably the black domain bosses, they're the most versatile. Sometimes I wish I had the cxl version for some teacore action, but other times I'm glad they're blacked through. Love your new lofgrens though, If I ever have a chance to try them on and they worked I'd buy them instantly. I have a...
Great collection! Too bad you don't wear a 10.5, those wesco 100th have a great silhouette. I don't have any experience with viberg or white's but I may try to grab a pair in the future.
The Wesco bosses are all the MP last, the Morrison is a separate last (Western?). Not sure what last the Red Wing Pecos and Klondike Engineer are built on but they are definitely different. The morrison has the highest heel, bosses are all the same.
Photographed all my pull-on boots today, most are engineers so I figure it qualifies for this thread. Love Wesco!

First day out with the new Thedi courtesy of Colin via the classifieds. Phenomenal jacket, essentially brand new. I was worried that the fit would be too small but it's probably my best fitting jacket. Can't wait to see this thing develop, the veg tan cognac buffalo is really something else. The...
Really dig those drawings, I think the D-ring would work well too. I just aesthetically prefer the asymmetry of the chain being at the top of the wallet. Very nice work all around!
Prefer the chain to be as far to the outside of the pocket as possible so I don't sit on it. I also think the asymmetry looks better, the center attached version reminds me of an ID card on a retractable line. I much prefer your wallet in the last picture to the centered version.
Yeah I ultimately left out the external kidney but the jacket does have an internal one. I think the internal one will prevent a lot of wear on the lining, especially on a closer fitting jacket.
I'm 5' 10" and 180# and wear a 40 in Aero's cafe racer/sheene--does anyone know how the fit of this compares? I'm interested and the numbers are pretty close but I'm concerned it might be too small.
That leather really is something else. This jacket looks like a great everyday jacket, and the fit is excellent. Love the collar on that pattern especially.
Pretty spot on, but not quite as close as the Sheene without the gussets. There was no extra width on the shoulders, but I couldn't feel the shoulders like I can on the Sheene.
The 42 looks like it fits better. I have a hooch hauler in size 40 and I'm 5' 10" and ~185, the 40 is already a close fit on me so I don't see how it would work for you. I think the action back and gusset options would definitely take away from the cleanness of the jacket. If you feel like you...
I think that the tight fit on the cafe racer fit jacket I tried actually worked against the gussets. The waist on the fit jacket was pretty close, particularly when zipped, and caused the lower back to bind a little bit, and I think that interfered with how the gussets are supposed to fall. I...
