Aero A-2 'Unknown Maker' 1756 contract

Hmmm, to be honnest, I don't see too much similarities between the 1756 and the Werber 1939. Maybe the general shape? Appart from that, the long thin epaulets of the Werber, with the somewhat smaller stitch boxes, the beautifully scaloped poket flaps, the pointy collars... Anyway, for the...

    Biker gloves, what to get?

On those 5-10 minutes, anything can happen. A car can cut you off, whatever. Try to slide your hands on the asphalt at even 30Km/H, and you will sorely regret not wearing gloves...

    Families of the Lounge

While I'm at it, found a couple pictures of my grandfather (my father's father) in the mid 50's. He was a bus driver and mechanic. On the second pic, he's sitting in the modified surplus Dodge truck they used as a tow vehicle. His brother is standing on the left. My grandfather passed away in...

Last year's birthday gift, built by my father. He knows I've always been in love with the Crusader, and asked me which was my favourite scheme. So here you go, Hasegawa 1/8 kit, Vought F-8E Crusader, VF-51 "Screaming Eagles", CVA-19 USS Hancock, 1967: He went as far as to paint the pilot's...

    regrettable leather jacket choices...

No regrets so far. I have one leather beather that's somewhat too baggy, with sleeves a tad too short, broken zipper puller that I've replaced with a keychain ring, missing storm flaps press buttons at the end of the flap, but I got it for free, leather is pretty good and it keeps me plenty warm...

    Aero A2

Aero's 50's flight jacket could be a great compromise if you want an A-2 look-a-like in black! I agree with people thinking that an A-2 in non-military color looks somewhat off to me.

An A-2 horsehide leather jacket as a present.

Indeed, Peter De Brabander is the head of QMI.be. A couple guys I know owns his horse hide A-2 jackets, and they really look great for the price. They seem to be based on a Monarch contract. Accuracy wise, they're on par with G+B and the likes, from what I gather, but certainly not with...

An A-2 horsehide leather jacket as a present.

Hello Valentina, Your best bet would be to contact Aero or Eastman directly and ask them if they have any size that should be close to te required measurements. They should be able to orient you best.

    What are you listening to?

Been somewhat discovering Betty Hutton lately. Like a lot of people, I only knew It's Oh So Quiet, and listened to other songs from her lately. Pretty funny!
